Yes. Upon successfully completing Align Mediation's accredited 40-hour mediator training program and required assessments, you'll receive your professional mediation training certification. Our program is accredited through the Civil Mediation Council (CMC) and recognized through the International Mediation Institute (IMI).
Do I need a license to practice private mediation in New York?
New York does not generally require a state-issued mediator license or certification for private mediation practice. However, professional training and certification can help you develop practical skills, demonstrate your commitment to professional standards and build credibility as a mediator. Certain specialist or court-connected roles have separate requirements.
Is this certification approved under New York Part 146?
